AQ541

What it is

Deposition Aid, Canopy Penetration Agent, Drift Reduction Agent (ASTM) Official Name

Lecithin-based drift reduction agent with a synergistic emulsification system.
This is different from any other drift reduction agent on the market.

What it does

  • Reduces the number of driftable fines
  • Increases the relative size of the smallest droplets produced by the spraying system
  • Increases the number of droplets that penetrate the canopy
  • Reduces the number of very large spray droplets that “bounce off” the leaf surface, compared to other drift reduction products
  • Concentrates the spray application in the “optimum range” of 200-400 microns
  • Puts more active ingredient on the target area by reducing off target movement

Use rates

Higher spray volumes will require higher rates. Lower spray volume applications (aerial) will require lower rates. Generally, for low volume applications (aerial) the use rate is roughly 1 pint per 100 gallons of spray solution. For low volume ground applications, a good rate is 24 oz per 100 gallons. High Volume Application: Plan on needing roughly 2 pints per 100 gallons.

XtendiMax label DRA required

Package Sizes:

  • 2 x 2.5 gallon jugs
  • 30 gallon drums
  • 250 gallon totes
Developed For:

Originally designed to be a “stand-alone” lecithin-based drift reduction agent

During The Development Process

It was discovered that certain emulsifers enhanced the drift reduction effect, making AQ541 unique

Droplet Size

AQ541 is good at concentrating the droplet size around the most efficacious sized droplets, the optimum mean size, increasing the amount of spray deposited on the leaf

Can be added to almost any application

Optimum Use Rates

As do most drift reduction agents. The optimum use rate is dependent on spray volumes, spray pressure, and wind shear
